Man Facing Dozens of Charges After Zipgun Found in North End

Winnipeg Police Logo CrestA Winnipeg man has been charged with 35 offences after police found him to have an active arrest warrant.

Officers spotted the suspect Thursday morning in the 300 block of Manitoba Avenue and attempted to speak with him. That’s when the suspect fled on foot and ran between houses before being caught.

Police located a zipgun loaded with a .308 round, a knife, and parts for two additional zipguns and ammunition.

Thunder Lightning Fontaine, 19, faces several firearms offences and breaches of court orders. He remains in custody.
