A 27-year-old man serving a life sentence at Stony Mountain Institution died in custody on Saturday.
Correctional Services of Canada says Michael Monney was serving his sentence for second-degree murder, aggravated assault, using an imitation firearm and robbery since April 14, 2016.
The inmate’s next of kin have been notified.
The CSC is investigating the circumstances of his death.
