Winnipeg Police Logo CrestA man believed to have been high on methamphetamine allegedly robbed a Liquor Mart Monday night and then tried to hide the bottles as police closed in.

The robbery happened in the 1600 block of Main Street at around 9:35 p.m. when the man entered with a large flashlight and stole numerous bottles, according to police. He also threatened to harm an employee before fleeing.

Air 1 tracked the suspect to the intersection of Aikins Street and Rupertsland Avenue, where he was spotted in residential yards before being apprehended by officers on the ground.
