WINNIPEG — The federal government is investing 1.5 million over two years into the Royal Winnipeg Ballet.

The funding comes from the government’s Canada Arts Training Fund and will be used in RWB’s dance school.

“These Canadian-trained artists share the gift of their talent and remind the world of Canada’s exceptional contribution to the arts,” said RWB School director Stéphane Léonard.

Winnipeg Centre MP Robert-Falcon Ouellette made the announcement Wednesday on behalf of Heritage Minister Pablo Rodriguez.
