WINNIPEG — CAA Manitoba and safety patrols from Clifton School spent part of Earth Day by cleaning up Omand’s Creek.
The creek runs adjacent to CAA’s office at 870 Empress Street and is often a prime location for garbage and other debris to gather each spring.
“Joining our patrollers to clean up Omand’s Creek is a great way to celebrate Earth Day,” says Tim Scott, president of CAA Manitoba.
“We are proud to be part of this community and, with our CAA School Safety Patrollers from Clifton School, we hope to inspire everyone to keep Winnipeg clean and safe.”
Take Pride Winnipeg is providing the cleanup equipment for the third annual event.
Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection.
