WINNIPEG — Eight men have been arrested in the second phase of Project Hook, a police investigation surrounding protecting youth and those at risk of sexual exploitation.
Police arrested the men — between the ages of 20 and 46 — as a result of a two-week investigation in March surrounding people attempting to lure children for a sexual purpose.
Six of those arrested face an additional charge of make sexually explicit material available to a child.
The first Project Hook investigation in June 2018 results in the arrest of seven men between the ages of 29 and 53 who were charged with child luring.
