Renovations will close the Hargrave Street skywalk connecting Bell MTS Place to Portage Place and Cityplace beginning May 6.
True North Sports + Entertainment says the renovation will last the summer months for a complete overhaul of the walkway, which also includes the Cityplace bridge.
New flooring, an LED lighting upgrade and a new colour scheme will align the skywalk with the fit and finish of Bell MTS Place and the recent concourse renovation unveiled in October 2017.
Officials say the result will be a brighter and more durable space designed to withstand the heavy volume of foot traffic.
The renovations are being conducted during warmer months when people typically choose to walk outside instead of using the skywalk system.
