Winnipeg police have charged a second suspect in the homicide of Jaime Adao.
The 17-year-old was home with his grandmother on March 3 when he was assaulted with a weapon during a break and enter in the 700 block of McGee Street.
Responding officers shot the attacker, Ronald Bruce Chubb, who was taken to hospital in critical condition.
The 29-year-old was charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder on March 16. He was later released from hospital.
Police have also now charged Geordie Delmar James, 34, with manslaughter. James was arrested on Wednesday at Headingley Correctional Centre and remains in custody.
Police say James was believed to be inside the home at the time of the fatal assault on Adao.
