‘Project Return’ Locates 21 Missing, At-Risk Youths

Winnipeg Police Logo CrestA weekend operation by Winnipeg police and partner agencies located 21 reported missing, at-risk youths.

Project Return is an annual event and also included StreetReach, Winnipeg Outreach Network (WON), Resources Assistance for Youth (RAY), Ma Ma Wi Chi Itata, and the Bear Clan Patrol.

Between April 26-28, the joint task force searched 17 locations known to be frequented by missing youths.

Seven men were arrested for allegedly obtaining sexual services, while two others were arrested on outstanding warrants.

Police also seized seven vehicles under the Highway Traffic Act for prostitution offences.
