Six people were arrested in Brandon Thursday and charged with numerous drug offences after officers conducted traffic stops in the city.
Police seized 11 ounces of methamphetamine in one of the stops, valued at $30,800, as well as a sum of Canadian currency.
A second vehicle was pulled over shortly after, leading officers to four ounces of heroin valued at $56,000. A third vehicle was stopped and 71 grams of meth was found, valued at $42,000, as well as a can of bear spray.
A home in Brandon’s west end was searched as part of the investigation, where police found nine ounces of meth and two grams of heroin, worth a combined $26,400.
Police have two men from Thompson, two men from Winnipeg, and a man and woman from Brandon all in custody. They were scheduled to appear in Brandon court on Friday.
Police in the Wheat City say they have seized more than $453,000 worth of drugs from city streets within the last week.
