Man Shot During Winnipeg Road Rage Incident

Winnipeg Police Logo CrestWinnipeg police say a road rage incident led to the shooting of a man Saturday evening in a parking lot.

Two men driving separate vehicles were in the area of Kingsbury Avenue and McPhillips Street when they both pulled over to exchange words.

During the argument, one of three men involved was shot, while the other two fled the area in their vehicles. The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition and later upgraded to stable.

Police found the suspect in a home in the 800 block of Selkirk Avenue later that night. Christopher Junior Capitly, 19, of Winnipeg faces numerous charges and remains in custody.

On Sunday, a second suspect turned himself into police for allegedly firing the gun.

Samtra Samtra, 19, also faces several charges, including discharging a restricted firearm and assault with a weapon.
