Charges Laid in Fatal Western Manitoba Stabbing

RCMP Crest Logo VehicleManitoba RCMP have laid charges in a fatal stabbing in Gilbert Plains last week.

A 36-year-old man was stabbed inside a home May 4 and succumbed to his injuries.

Police have since charged David Christopher Genaille, 39, with second-degree murder.

He remains in custody and will appear in court on May 28.

A 25-year-old woman who had been arrested earlier in the investigation has been released without charge.
