Speed is considered a factor in a destructive two-vehicle crash in the RM of Springfield Wednesday morning.

Manitoba RCMP say a black 2016 Dodge Ram and red 2011 Ford Escape collided at around 10:55 a.m.

The Ram was travelling westbound on Provincial Road 213 when it collided with the Escape, which was heading southbound on Provincial Road 206.

The Escape rolled off the road, trapping the 44-year-old RM of Springfield man inside. He was freed by firefighters and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Two people from Springfield in the Ram — a 22-year-old man and 18-year-old man — suffered minor injuries.

Police are continuing to investigate.
