Lake Manitoba (FILE)
A high wind warning has been issued for the south basin of Lake Manitoba as strong north winds are forecast to develop.
The province’s Hydrologic Forecast Centre says strong winds will develop late this evening and continue until Thursday around noon. Wind speed and wave action could raise levels by as much as five feet or more.
Property owners are advised to take precautions.
The province says the south basin is free of ice.
