WINNIPEG — Two people have died in a house fire in the 700 block of Selkirk Avenue.
Fire crews were called to the multi-family residence just after 11 a.m. Friday to find a well-involved fire with heavy flames coming from the windows.
Two people were able to make it out of the home and were taken to hospital in unstable condition. Two more people were found deceased inside once crews could re-enter the home to extinguish hotspots.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation and no damage estimate is available. The structure is expected to be a total loss.
