Teen’s Arm Broken During Arrest, IIU Investigating

Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba - IIUThe Independent Investigation Unit is investigating after a teen’s arm was broken during her arrest over the weekend.

The 14-year-old was the subject of an intoxication call at a residence on Saturday, having been “out of control.” Winnipeg police arrived and tried to arrest the teen, but a struggle ensued. She was later taken to hospital with an injury, which was determined to be a broken arm above the elbow. She was treated and released.
