Low-cost air carrier Swoop has added a direct summer route between Winnipeg and Kelowna, B.C.
The WestJet offshoot will fly three times weekly (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) between the two cities beginning today and running through October 26.
“We serve our community by connecting our region to the world, and our collaboration with Swoop helps us continue building Winnipeg’s network,” said Barry Rempel, president and CEO of Winnipeg Airports Authority.
“We are committed to increasing travel options for our community to discover great destinations like Kelowna. This also gives more travellers an opportunity to discover all our city and province have to offer.”
The total one-way fare is $119, including taxes. Extra charges apply for carry-ons, checked bags and preferred seating upgrades.
