Parishioners of the Roman Catholic Church in the RM of St. Francois-Xavier are picking up the pieces after vandals broke in over the weekend.
RCMP received a report of the break and enter Sunday morning, which resulted in smashed statues and other damage inside the church. It appears a fire extinguisher was also used and sprayed inside to cause even further damage.
A vehicle was seen in the church parking lot at approximately 1 a.m. on Sunday morning.
