Two Women Charged in Winnipeg’s Latest Homicide

Winnipeg Police Logo CrestTwo women have been charged in Winnipeg’s 20th homicide of the year.

A 25-year-old woman was fatally stabbed at around 2:45 a.m. on May 25 at a home in the 400 block of Simcoe Street.

She was taken to hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to her injuries. She has been identified as Shaylnne Marie Hunter of Winnipeg.

Police arrested two suspects on Tuesday and have charged them each with second-degree murder.

Diane Tamara King, 18, and Tasha Laquette, 22, both from Winnipeg, remain in custody.
