Winnipeg police have arrested and charged the driver of a dump truck involved in a crash that injured two people on April 26.
Winnipeg police say the crash happened at around 12:35 a.m. at the intersection of Grant Avenue and Elmhurst Road, sending a man and his female passenger to hospital. One person was originally listed in critical condition, while the other was said to be unstable. Police say both have since been upgraded to stable condition.
The driver of the dump truck was uninjured. On Wednesday, the 30-year-old driver was arrested on impaired driving charges and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
He was released on a promise to appear.
