Just after midnight Thursday, North District general patrol officers were alerted to an assault in progress.

Air1, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Flight Operations Unit, was dispatched. Two males were spotted on the east side of Arlington Street near Logan Avenue. Officers responded to the area, and they found a lone victim. The officers arrested two males – one was still armed with a weapon.

The victim, a 26-year-old man, told police he was walking in the 1100 block of Arlington Street when he was confronted by two males – one armed with a metal pipe. The man was assaulted and robbed.
