Winnipeg Police Looking for Suspicious Person After Incidents at School

The Winnipeg Police Service are looking for a suspicious person after disturbing incidents at a St. Vital school.

On Wednesday, a man was outside École St. Germain at 77 John Forsyth Rd.

The Winnipeg Police Service were alerted. The person who reported the incident said the man was speaking to children on the school’s grounds.

On Tuesday, June 4, the same man was watching the children. When he left, he was last seen on a bike path beside the playground. The man was riding a yellow bike and wearing a helmet and sunglasses.

The man is described as Caucasian, and he’s in his late 60s with a medium build.

Previously, on May 24, 2019, a man was spotted at the same school, École St. Germain, taking photos or video of children while they were engaged in sports. When staff approached him, the man fled in a new model, light blue pickup truck.

This man is described as Caucasian. He has light brown/grey hair, and he’s in his 50s with a medium build.

It’s unknown whether these two incidents are related.
