A Manitoba youth committee wants elected officials to take action on climate change.
And they’re using their lunch hours to get the point across.
The Manitoba Youth for Climate Action Committee are planning another Fridays for Future strike. The strike is at 12 p.m. on Friday, June 7th at the Manitoba Legislative Building.
The Climate Action Committee is trying to draw attention to climate change and other important issues, such supporting Bill C-69, which hasn’t been accepted by the province.
The Manitoba Youth for Climate Action Committee also wants the City of Winnipeg to ban single use plastics and “initiate a state of climate emergency.”
