Camping this weekend?

You better find another way to roast those marshmallows.

Due to strong winds, hot conditions, and unstable weather, the Province of Manitoba has banned fires at Stephenfield Provincial Park, effective immediately.

Campsites in the Interlake and Eastern regions also have fire restrictions. Campfires are allowed between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. – as long as an approved fire pit is used.

Check with your campground office for restrictions as conditions might change.

Stephenfield Provincial Park is located in southwestern Manitoba, an hour and a half from Winnipeg.
