Winnipeg police have made an arrest in a shooting that sent a man to hospital in critical condition earlier this month.
The 23-year-old was shot in the upper body June 2 in the 400 block of Langside Street.
Police located Merhawi Mehari, 24, on June 21 while driving a vehicle believed to be involved in the incident.
Officers found approximately $100 worth of cocaine in his possession, along with a weapon.
Mehari has been charged with attempt to commit murder, discharging a firearm with intent, possession of a weapon and a controlled substance. He remains in custody.
The victim in the shooting was later upgraded to stable condition.
