The body of a 37-year-old RM of St. Andrews man was found Monday night just hours after he was reported missing.
Manitoba RCMP say the man was last seen in a beach area of a water quarry on Henry Road before he disappeared. He and a group of people had been swimming in the gravel pits at the time.
RCMP and local emergency responders began a search of the area, where they located his body in the water at approximately 10:15 p.m.
The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
An autopsy has been scheduled and no further information is available.
RCMP continue to investigate.
