Get ready to make a splash, Winnipeg!
The city’s outdoor public pools are opening on Friday, just in time for the long weekend.
Weather permitting, the Fort Garry Lion’s, St. Vital and Westdale heated pools will all open June 28. Both the Kildonan Park outdoor pool and the Transcona Aquatic Park opened for the season on June 14.
Admission rates apply for each heated pool, but there is no charge to enter the following unheated pools:
- Freight House
- Happyland
- Provencher
- Windsor Park
The city’s 81 wading pools will open on a staggered basis beginning July 1 and 2.
The following wading pools will open on Canada Day, weather permitting:
- Central Park
- Dakota Park
- Machray Park
- Shaughnessy Park
- West Kildonan Memorial Community Centre
- Westdale
