Brandon police arrested a man Wednesday night after receiving a report of an impaired driver on Highway 1 at 18th Street North.
Officers took a breath sample of the 23-year-old man, who registered as being over the legal limit. He was arrested and then released to a family member, however, he then tried to jump out of their moving vehicle while still intoxicated. The family member sought help from police and the man was taken into police custody until sober.
He will appear in Brandon court on July 4.
