Manitoba RCMP have charged a Brandon man after an assault and robbery in Russell on Monday, but that was only the beginning of his problems.
Police received a report from a 56-year-old man that he had been assaulted and had his belongings stolen.
While officers were on scene, the suspect returned and began to hit the windows of the police cruiser trying to break them. Police tried to arrest the man, but he became combative and resisted. He was eventually Tasered so officers could take him into custody.
While at the Russell RCMP detachment, the suspect also reportedly damaged a cell block, resulting in additional charges.
Michael Man, 39, faces numerous charges and remains behind bars pending a court appearance.
