A Manitoba man spun to win and walked away with $500,000.
Allen Carswell of Zhoda played The Big Spin and won $10,000. The $5 lottery ticket also allows players to uncover a “Spin Win” prize, meaning Carswell was guaranteed at least another $100,000 at a “Big Spin” event. He spun the wheel to claim the $500,000 jackpot.
“I still can’t believe that this is happening to me,” Carswell said in a release. “I’ve always hoped that it would, but I never actually expected it.”
“My wife and I are happy to be able to pay off our mortgage and cut back our hours at work. That’s a real dream come true for us.”
Carswell purchased his winning ticket at the Sarto General Store in Sarto, Manitoba.
