Winnipeg police have charged a Brandon man after a cyclist was hit and killed by a semi-truck last fall.
The 61-year-old victim was hit at the intersection of Bishop Grandin Boulevard and Lagimodiere Boulevard on September 4, 2018. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries.
Police say the driver of the semi failed to stop at a red light
The 41-year-old driver of the truck has now been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death. He was released on a promise to appear.
