Free skateboard lessons are now available at The Forks for the summer season.
In partnership with Sk8 Skates and the Winnipeg Skateboarding Outreach Organization, lessons are held at the Plaza Skatepark.
“We’re lucky to have this world-class skatepark right in the heart of the city where kids from all neighbourhoods can have free access to this kind of recreation and community, and we’re extremely glad to partner with Sk8 Skates to offer this kind of mentorship to beginners during the summer months,” said Paul Jordan, CEO, The Forks.
Free lessons are offered Wednesday to Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. until August 25.
