Five school buses burned Tuesday afternoon in a vehicle compound fire on St. Mary’s Road.
The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded shortly after 4:30 p.m. to the First Student Canada depot near Paul Boulevard just south of the Perimeter Highway.
Emergency crews found five school buses well-involved. A water tanker had to be used to shuttle water to the scene, as the location was outside the water district.
The fire was deemed under control at around 5:30 p.m.
No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
