Two people have been arrested following an investigation into drug trafficking in Winnipeg.
Police located the two suspects as they were walking out of an apartment building in the 400 block of Furby Street on July 11.
A search warrant was executed the same day on the residence, where police found 1.33 kilograms of methamphetamine, along with $5,700 in Canadian currency. Officers also seized a money counter and 20 blotters believed to contain fentanyl. The methamphetamine would have an estimated street value of $20,000, but when separated for street sale, would have an estimated value of approximately $130,000.
A man and woman — both in their 40s — face various drug and trafficking-related offences. They were released on promises to appear.
