Police Watchdog Looking for Witnesses in Brandon Arrest of Suspect

Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba - IIUThe Independent Investigation Unit is seeking witnesses to an arrest of a man in Brandon who was hurt by a police dog.

The 22-year-old man was tracked down July 22 after a disturbance call in the 400 block of 9th Street.

The K9 unit arrived on scene and began tracking a man who fled from police. The IIU says the dog “physically engaged the individual and, as a result, the man received an injury to his hand that required medical treatment.”
