A 20-year-old boater who was reported missing last week has been found deceased.
The South Indian Lake man ventured out July 25 on his community’s lake, but never returned. His boat was found on an isolated shoreline and RCMP were called in to investigate.
Officers and local community members began searching the lake by boat and by helicopter. On July 27, searchers located the man’s body in the water.
The Leaf Rapids RCMP and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner continue to investigate.
