WINNIPEG — Two collisions on Wednesday sent two women to hospital in critical condition.
The first occurred just before 2 p.m. when a pedestrian was hit at the cross-walk near Sargent Avenue at Simcoe Street.
The woman was crossing Sargent when she was struck by a westbound vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was arrested at the scene and may face charges.
Police are looking for witnesses to the crash and ask them to call traffic investigators at (204) 986-7085.
At around 11:45 p.m., a motorcycle crashed on the Midtown Bridge, seriously injuring the woman riding as a passenger.
The bridge was closed for approximately 13 hours as police investigated.
