A 14-year-old girl has died following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 14 in the RM of Montcalm on Saturday.

RCMP say a westbound vehicle being driven by a 24-year-old Saskatchewan man crossed the centre line and collided with an eastbound vehicle being driven by a 62-year-old Ste. Agathe man.

The crash happened at around 10:30 a.m. about eight kilometres west of Highway 75. An RCMP officer conducting a patrol came across the crash site.

The 14-year-old female passenger in the westbound vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The three other occupants were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The 62-year-old male driver was not injured.

Police say they believe seatbelts were in use and that alcohol wasn’t a factor.

Morris RCMP are continuing to investigate.
