Charges have been laid against the Winnipeg driver involved in a fatal crash with a pedestrian early this year.
A 31-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle on January 11, 2019 at the intersection of Maroons Road and St. James Street. She later succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
The 46-year-old male driver has since been arrested and charged with disobeying a traffic control device and careless driving causing death.
Police say the southbound driver was making an eastbound turn and collided with a northbound vehicle. The second vehicle then hit the pedestrian and a traffic light pole.
