Man Carjacked at Gunpoint at Winnipeg Gas Station

Winnipeg Police Logo CrestA 27-year-old man was carjacked, assaulted and had a gun pointed at him while at a Winnipeg gas station on Wednesday.

Police say the victim was parked in the 700 block of Keewatin Street just before 8 a.m. when an unknown man approached him and opened the driver’s side door. The victim refused to exit the vehicle and was assaulted before a gun was pointed at him. The suspect demanded the car keys and drove off.

Police spotted the vehicle at around 8:25 p.m. being driven in the area of Redwood Avenue and Aikins Street. The suspect fled on foot but was arrested shortly after in the area.

Officers seized a pellet gun and recovered the victim’s property.

Adrian Eliazer Murdock, 19, has been charged with numerous offences and remains in custody.

The carjacking victim was treated and released from hospital.
