This Labour Day, the Assiniboine Park Zoo is bidding summer adieu with discounts.

No, it’s not on the animals.

On September 2, the Assiniboine Park Zoo is lowering the adult, senior, and youth gate admission from $20 to $14 plus GST. Admission for children ages five to 12 remains the same at $11.25 plus GST, and children four and under are free.

“The September long weekend is a really great opportunity for families to enjoy one last special outing before the kids head back to school,” said Laura Cabak, Manager, Communications and Public Relations with the Assiniboine Park Conservancy.

Monday marks the end of Summer Zoo Chats, a chance for visitors to learn from the animal care team during their tour. Visitors can enjoy several exhibits such as the butterfly safari at the Shirley Richardson Butterfly Garden at 10 a.m., which closes on September 8th. Plus, see Salju, the white-handed gibbon.

Gate admission must be purchased in-person, not online.
