Premier Brian Pallister has left the Manitoba Health Coalition waiting for an answer.
Pallister was invited to the Manitoba Health Coalition’s “It’s Time To Talk About Healthcare Leader’s Debate.” However, Pallister hasn’t confirmed his attendance. Meanwhile James Beddome, Green Party Leader; Wab Kinew, NDP Leader; and Dougald Lamont, Liberal Party Leader accepted the MHC’s invitation. According to the MCH, the PC’s haven’t indicated whether Pallister would attend or if another PC representative would stand in his place.
This heath care debate offers the provincial leaders an opportunity to share their ideas with Manitobans. In turn, Manitobans can voice their concerns about health care. The early closure of the Seven Oaks and Concordia Hospital emergency rooms and under-staffing will be contentious issues.
The forum will be at the University of Manitoba Bannatyne Campus’ Brodie Centre in the Frederic Gaspard Theatre, 744 Bannatyne Avenue on August 29, 2019. Terry MacLeod will be moderating.
The doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the debate starts at 7 p.m.
