You need to reduce your speed around school zones.

That’s the reminder from the Winnipeg Police Service. On September 2, school speed zones return to 30 km an hour as children return to school.

There are 171 signs around Winnipeg to indicate the lowered speed, as well as the times and dates.

Traditional and photo enforcement will be used to ensure drivers obey the speed limit. The Reduced Speed School Zone Regulation can be found in the Manitoba Highway Traffic Act.
