Winnipeg police Tasered one of three suspects while attempting to make arrests related to a Liquor Mart theft on Wednesday night.

Police were called to the 1200 block of Pembina Highway after two men and a woman allegedly stole a number of bottles from the store.

One of the suspects threatened staff by brandishing an unknown item before fleeing the scene.

Officers located the suspects nearby shortly after. The same suspect who threatened staff had to be Tasered prior to being taken into custody.

Douglas Joseph Parisien, 30, Neldon Owen, 22, and Crystal Fontaine, 44, have each been charged with robbery. Parisien has also been charged with failing to comply with a probation order.

All three remain in custody.
