Man Charged in Stabbing After Argument Turns Violent

Winnipeg Police Logo CrestWinnipeg police have laid charges after a man was stabbed several times in the upper body on Wednesday afternoon.

The victim was found in the 600 block of Martin Avenue East after a verbal argument with a roommate turned violent.

Police say the accused then fled the scene, but was later arrested by officers.

The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition and later upgraded to stable.

Bradley Joshua Sharkey, 21, has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon.

He remains in custody.
