A 29-year-old woman was hit and killed by a truck Thursday morning in Berens River after she was allegedly blocking traffic.
RCMP say they were called after reports of two people in the community blocking a roadway at around 9:30 a.m. When they arrived, medical personnel from the local nursing station were already there trying to revive one of the people.
The woman, a resident of Berens River, was later pronounced deceased on scene.
Police say a truck, driven by a 62-year-old man, hit the woman while turning at the intersection.
An autopsy is scheduled and RCMP continue to investigate.
