A 62-year-old Winnipeg woman was killed Monday afternoon on Highway 59 when the motorcycle she was riding was struck by another vehicle.
A pickup truck being driven by a 16-year-old boy was travelling west on Oak Grove Road at around 3:40 p.m. when it blew through a stop sign and collided with the motorcycle headeding north on Highway 59.
RCMP say the motorcyclist was taken to hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
The Grande Pointe teen driving the truck suffered minor injuries.
RCMP say alcohol doesn’t appear to be a factor in the collision.
Police are continuing to investigate.
