Winnipeg police used their eye in the sky to help track an assault suspect on Tuesday evening.
Police received multiple reports of an assault happening in the area of Arlington Street and St. Matthews Avenue at around 9 p.m.
Air1 arrived about two minutes later and activated its siren, which caused the suspect to run from the scene.
He was tracked down by the police helicopter and officers on the ground found him hiding in a yard in the 400 block of Arlington Street.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was found unconscious and transported to hospital in unstable condition. He has since been upgraded to stable.
Kyle Arron Woodhouse, 25, has been charged with robbery and aggravated assault. He remains in custody.
