WINNIPEG — Federal Conservative leader Andrew Scheer is in Winnipeg today as he campaigns on the Prairies to bolster support for his party.

It’s the second time during the election campaign that Scheer will have made a pitstop in the city.

Scheer will make an announcement at the Radisson Hotel at 2 p.m., followed by making remarks alongside Conservative candidate Raquel Dancho at the Pembina Curling Club at 6:30 p.m.

Scheer was last in Winnipeg on September 17, when he made an announcement at the Salon Professional Academy beauty school on Ellice Avenue. At that time, the Conservative leader promised to increase government contributions to registered education savings plans to 30 percent up (up from 20 percent) to $2,500 annually.

Canadians head to the polls on October 21.
