GODS LAKE NARROWS, Man. — The RCMP has safely located a group of overdue hunters, including two children, who were reported overdue in northern Manitoba.

Mounties say the two adults and two youths, who are 12 and 16, had been in the area of Mosquito Lake after being dropped off last Tuesday.

They were to be picked up Friday, but a chartered floatplane could not land on the lake due to poor weather.

Mounties say they were concerns that the Gods Lake residents only took enough food for a three-day trip.

A helicopter search on Wednesday afternoon by Gods Lake Narrows RCMP found the four hunters on the shores of Mosquito Lake. All are in good health and are back with their families in Gods River.
